  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A fantastic experience and I would highly reccomend doing a placement to anyone considering it!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is very close at Wimborne and we all work well as a team and I feel very welcomed even on my first day

  • The support I have recieved has been very good I have been left alone to figure things out which was tough at the beginning but in the end it has helped me grow

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy you do get accosasional days where it is quiet but there is always something to do

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A high level of responsibility from presenting to everyone at all employee meetings on behalf of GIS to taking part in project and assisting in changes to the business

  • Many skills for left especially teamwork and communication

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Its a small office so it can be relativly quiet

  • A seamless and great setup process

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It could have been better I went on a few training courses but I felt that I may have missed out on a few like a Personal leadership program

  • Looking very positive and im sure they would want me back if they needed the extra man power

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • No theres not many placement students locally here at Wimborne so it was poor in those aspects but some people at work it was fun and great to hang around with but they were older than me and had more commitments so it can be difficult

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cheap place to live being with lodgers but I snookered myself living in Wimborne as there is not a lot to do for a 20 year old if I could change it I would have moved to bournemouth but I just didnt know the area well at all before I came down. So this was a difficult decision to make and once I found a place I had to stick with it

  • Pretty appalling apart from a few pubs

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes there were a few charity events hosted by work with i got involved with one was a 5k run in portsmouth for dorset air ambulance
