  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Communication between suppliers and the engineering team on all defects and quality issues that are seen. This involved signing off process changes and root causing problems to make sure they couldn't happen again.

  • Lot's of CFD knowledge. Use of APQP. Lean Six Sigma, Communications. Problem Solving. Presentation skills to people from across the world.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • During the second half of my placement, I was responsible for my own fuel systems supplier where I was the point of contact for quality issues and I had a monthly meetup with them or sooner if needed to resolve any issues. This also involved visiting their facility.

  • My manager and his manager gave me lot's of support and helped me with any questions I had while allowing me to figure things out for myself.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Really good. There was a group setup for young professionals which ran after work events almost everyday.
