    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have really enjoyed my placement year with IBM. Being based in South Bank London, the location is fantastic with plenty of travel links, places to eat and things to do. In my role specifically, I have always been given many opportunities to shadow senior colleagues and attend client meetings.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I am the only person who does my role in the whole of the IBM UK space - and this creates a huge amount of responsibility as I am in charge of managing and organising a specific sales programme which means my role can have a positive or negative impact on revenue.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I believe the soft-skills such as communication, teamwork, responsibility and taking action for ones own learning will be vital in not only my final year of university, but for also making an impact in any future roles I have.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
