The Role
There were some days when there was not alot of work to be completed so these went slower. But i throughly enjoy my placement.
I felt that i was part of the team and not just the student who was asked to do the boring jobs. I was involved in some inportant projects which made me feel valued in the team.
My managers would always ensure that i understood the tasks which i had to complete and that i was not struggling with these. If i was additional help would be given.
Some days there was not alot of work to be done this was very irregular and other departments would give me work which was interesting and exciting to get involved in other areas.
I was given alot of responsblility during my placement and felt that this made me work better to know that i was trusted.
I have gained many skills whilst on my placement especially confidence i feel this will help me in my future career and when i am back at university.
The Company
The office is always a great place to be everyone gets along really well and has fun. Sometimes the office can be quiet when everyone is out at factorys but this is sometimes a nice change.
I was not the first placement student at Dairy Crest so my role was already specficially layed out for me and it was clear from day 1 what my job role was.
I was taken to meetings on company policies and to factorys were helath and sfatery training was given also training on how to run a trial.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Vey appealing i would love to work for Dairy Crest again.
The Culture
There were 4 students at Dairy Crest we all lived togther and got on well. Going to the gym together and to the pub and union at nights and weekends with the other local univeristy students we lived with.
The slary was enough to live comfortably as my rent included all bills.
There isnt much night life in shropshire more local pubs and the student union at the local university but this was a nice change and i made the most of the different night life compared to busy one of sheffield.
Not with other Dairy Crest Employees but i joined the gym which kept me busy at nights.
