  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The work wasn't difficult; rather repetitive as a whole.

  • Nothing special - decent, but not friends and certainly not family!

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Personally had a great Line Manager but heard of cases where intern was completely lost in work.

  • Wasn't really given much to do...

  • Mainly had to overlook the development of a project, so was given quite a lot of responsibility as an intern.

  • Mainly problem-solving skills, and an experience working as an Engineer

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Generally boring

  • Major props to the HR department - entire internship was thoroughly planned out.

  • Sat in 2 training courses, wasn't really helpful though.

  • Lots of interns return to RR as a graduate, so it is rather appealing.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Wasn't really anyone to talk to... was working alone most of the time.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Derby was a nice and cheap city - never had many opportunities to socialise though.

  • Derby was a boring city, while I'm at it.
