    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The work wasn't the most interesting thing I have done, nor the most challenging, I did get a good insight into the working world and into Accenture and I was at most times busy.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People were glad to have me around once I had proven myself as a valuable member of the team.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • People were always willng to help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It of course depends, some days, flat out, other more chilled. For the most part, busy enough not to get bored, but not so busy that I was stressed for any length of time.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The more I proved myself the more I got, I certainly wasn;t running the show but I was given a decent amount to get on and do.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Good working habits, organisation, a decent work ethic, people skills improved etc. In terms of consulting experiance, fairly little

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A bit on the dull side, nothing Google-esk, but as we were on client site, you can't expect too much

    2/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Fairly well, I had work to do and I felt I could add value, maybe not in the way I first thought, but if you ask around you can always find stuff to do.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was a one week training week. I wouldn't say it helped me particularly, but it was good fun. You kind of have to make of it what you will, if you seek out help and training you'll normally get it, informal training that is, I'm not sure about formal.

    2/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • National Travel

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Working from home

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Hmm, the work I was doing wasn't very interesting, but Accenture's very big and fairly varied. If you're looking for a decent job, decent pay and decent hours then Accenture's your place, but if you want to really push yourself, learn a lot and get paid very well, Accenture may not be.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Everyone was friendly, and we had a couple of parties as well as Intern things, and the odd impromptue night out.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London - there are less expensive and more expensive areas, you just have to find them.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Fine, its London

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really, but I didnt really look too hard
