The Role
Very interesting and engaging from day one with 'real' work.
Both management and staff are really appreciative of any help given and very helpful with their feedback, constructive and positive.
Good support, but required some chasing up, which was really to be expected.
Some weeks were very work intensive and some really quiet.
I feel like the work I have completed will actually have an impact in the organisaation and remain as a legacy.
I developed a lot of economic knowledge which will greatly assisst with my economics degree. I also developed knowledge on European policy which I am particularly interested in. Many of the soft skills I learned will also be highly transferable wherever I go.
The Company
Good balance between work and fun. Everyone was very nice and there were opportunities to socialise with team and department outside of work.
No problems at all
Whilst a lot of online training was available, it was often difficult to find other training opportunities and presentations independently. Also, I think more bespoke training, perhaps a day, should be given regarding the team you are joining.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. Very well regarded Grad Scheme
The Culture
We gelled really well, even got a weekly 'intern curry night' going by week 1.
Canary wharf is unfortunately very expensive
No idea.
Hard to find so hard to tell. Probably due to the short period I was there for.
