  • I worked on data science projects, attended regular team meetings and talked to different individuals in the organisation about the work they do here and their overall experiences. I also engaged with different stakeholders to talk about their business problems and how we can solve them using data and analytics.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • As much responsibility as I’d expect for an intern, I was given a lot of independence for projects which helped me develop my skills but also a lot of support. My projects also involve stakeholders so I’d say there was responsibility for the projects as they’d influence future work.

  • A lot of support, it was really nice. I don’t have an economics/finance background so I had people I could contact from different departments to help me in those areas.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed it! It was challenging but I think I learnt from this and the work was intellectually stimulating and covered different areas I haven’t had the chance to explore before! Also the people are very nice and friendly here!
