  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I have had a fantastic two weeks and would reccomend the firm's vacation scheme to anyone seeking a friendly, ambitious and constantly expanding firm who undertake really interesting work.

    • I was straight away made to feel like a valued member of the team and was approached by several different people to complete work.

    • Everyone was willing and very happy to explain anything if necessary and always went out of their way to do so.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have learned so much about my department and what the firm does as a whole in such a short space of time, both through presentations and from the work I have undertaken.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured, there was a nice balance between departmental time and presentations/socials.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • The firm are extremely inclusive and welcoming. The atmosphere has been great.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • There were lots of presentations to help us understand what the firm does and my trainee buddy and supervisor always took the time to explain things to ensure I learnt as much as possible.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I have developed a much greater understanding of what the role of a trainee is, how the different departments work together and what I can expect in a career in law.

    • The vacation scheme has given me a real insight into the firm's culture and I have seen first-hand just how collegiate and unstuffy it is.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Yes, I was happy with the amount I was paid and it is in line with most other vacation schemes.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • We met lots of different partners during presentations and interacted with trainees during social events.

    • I was able to get involved in lots of CSR activities and also had an interesting talk about CSR.
