The Role
A great year.
Very valued. Treated like a full time engineer.
Support always available when needed.
Always very busy and work available when needed.
Responsibility for managing my own time and deliverables.
Skills which will stay with me for life. Invaluable industry experience and lifelong friends/industry contacts.
The Company
New, modern and friendly office. Everyone very keen to help and share knowledge.
Very well organised. Dedicated scheme management was very helpful throughout.
Lots of training. Many great experiences including visiting various operational sites.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Hopefully gain a place on a Graduate scheme to return to NATS after university.
The Culture
Lots of students and graduates across many different disciplines at NATS. Lots of social events in Portsmouth/Southampton.
I lived in Southampton - very cheap. Most placement students either live in Southampton or Portsmouth and lift share or get the train/shuttle bus into work.
Portsmouth and Southampton both have very good night life.
Lots of opportunities organised by NATS. Lots of sports teams - football, tennis, cricket.
