    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really valued every aspect of my time at NATS, from the environment, to my standard of work, and also the people who i worked with.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Personally I believe very valued and supported. I am aware of how my work contributes to the company overall and were praised on my achievements. This comes down to how well the company is doing, as the whole environment is a very pleasing one to be in, everyone is very respectable!

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was non stop guidance and support from the get go. This really helped getting settled in. Was greeted with a tour, and a great introduction with the people that were in the team. I really liked how the support was always there when i needed it, which gave me a lot of respect and warm towards the management.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I would always have work to complete, and got involved in a lot of meetings. The workflow was very manageable, and also flexible. This helped with bringing a positive attitude in the work place. All time spent doing work throughout the day was meaningful and enjoyable.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given the task to help run a project, where the weeks progressed more responsibilities arose. I was working with the management and also at the head of the project - This gave me the opportunity to be in meetings, and even present ideas to others. Each responsibility gave me lots experience .

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The experience, working in a award winning company, has widened my insight to what it's like to work in a area relevant to my degree. This sets me up for my future endeavours and also the remaining years of university. I can use this to aid me in a brighter future and also improve my studies.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was enjoyable to be around. I never felt out of place and always put me in a positive attitude to work as a result.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The plan for my time at NATS was very well organised and well set up. Everything was time managed perfectly.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The encouragement, advice and general effort people gave me whilst working there was phenomenal. I felt apart of the team from the beginning and was always encouraged in my day to day.

  • Very. Everything that i gained from working with NATS showed me what a great company it would be to work for.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a good social scene throughout the company really, i think that stems down to how nice everyone was. There were clubs and a very nice canteen which was a big social hub during tea time.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was working near my home so it did not cost me anything as i lived in my parents house.

  • Again, was working near my hometown so didn't really experience any nightlife.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes there was many clubs, each had lots of know about and was advertised throughout the company.
