The Role
I've had a really good year, I've been able to get involved with all the things I wanted too, I've met some really great people who I am sure I will stay in contact with both in a business and personal aspect. I felt valued as an employee, despite at times, and understandably, getting some of the less desirable jobs, which is to be expected coming into a business at the bottom.
I was always made to feel valued and am very grateful for that. I must also point out that homemade baking goes down very well in OA, so you will certainly be valued for that!
I am very happy to approach my manager with any problems or issues. I feel I was always given the correct support and guidance.
It varied, in earlier stages of the first half of my placement I sometimes ran out of things to do despite asking for more work. However in the second half of my placement year I was never short of things to do, which was great, I enjoy keeping busy.
I feel as though I was given quick a great deal of responsibility, linked to feeling valued, I know that the work I do is important and that is a very rewarding feeling.
Completing this placement year I think puts me in great stead for my final year of University, in terms of time management, organisation and application. Beyond my studies, I am not ruling out the prospect of returning to NATS, if they will have me back, I am still undecided as to my future career plans, but I would definitely consider joining back at NATS!
