  • A great year with IBM

  • I had regular 1-2-1s with both my managers where they guided me through my year.

  • Being in marketing it varies considerably, some weeks I would find myself working lots of extra hours and other weeks it was very quiet, waiting for work to come in. This was a good balance.

  • Lots of responsibility.

  • All transferable skills for the future in the workplace and in my last year of my degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fridays were quiet and mid week was very busy. Mixture of interns and permanent staff.

  • Well established placement scheme.

  • Many opportunities to do extra education, encouraged to do 40 hours a year of personal development and giveback.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • An IT to graduate process which allows interns to apply earlier and potentially miss out steps of the assessment process, dependent on individual application. No guaranteed job.

  • Weekly socials, many ITs in South Bank location.

  • Expensive - central london!

  • Its central london. So there is something for everyone.
