About You
Deutsche Bank (DB) gave us a very good outlook and outline of their firm, and units. I really enjoyed the spring week with DB.
It was a smaller group of spring interns as compared to other investment banks. It was more focused and orientated. I felt that they valued us a lot.
I received a lot of support when I was doing the work shadowing. Networking opportunities were also great. The people we talked to were very helpful.
It helped improved my time management, leadership and communications skills when I experienced working in this fast moving pace environment.
The Company
The coordinators had a really well planned and good layout of events that we will be going through from day 1 to our very last day. It was really well structured..
I think the atmosphere was great. The spring interns were very out-going, and the coordinators were very friendly. Good interaction. A lot to gain from this kind of environment ....
They had organised a lot of presentations, business case studies, trainings and work shadowing opportunities for us. Accommodation, travel allowances were also all provided.
They told us a lot about their company core values and how individuals could fit in into their industry and firm. It definitely helped me to learn if I want to work for an investment bank.
I like DB motivated and fast moving pace environment. People are friendly and interesting. A good mixed and diversity as well ...
It helped me in deciding if I want to work for investment banks. (There were a lot of rumours about long working hours etc, but it was not that bad afterall )
Everything Else
Not paid for spring weeks. But travel allowances covered. Understood, as they had to train us and they are not gaining much from us. So, no complaints.
A lot of networking opportunities within the firm. We also had a networking dinner.
Was surprised at how everyone in the firm was also interested to share their thoughts and experiences with us. Good insight into the company.
A lot of charity work that DB gets involved in. Employees are encouraged to join. Also a lot of socials opportunities in London.
Yes, I would. You will gain a lot by just attending a spring week. You will get to learn a lot about the firm and its core values and see if you fit in the company.
