  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Said a lot about the firm as a whole, everyone involved was very supportive and was a great insight into the career area.

    • Allowed us to practice many relevant skills we would need a) for future applications and b) in a career as a commercial lawyer.

    • Great idea to do practice assessment day at the end of the scheme.

    • Very friendly within the group doing the vac scheme, everyone involved with the scheme from the HL side was approachable, knowledgeable and supportive.

    • Huge amount of effort put into the day-to-day activities.

    • We all got to see the real day-to-day life of a commercial lawyer, particularly from a trainee's standpoint.

    • I'm left in no doubt as to the culture of the firm - supportive, approachable, more than willing to help, yet incredibly professional and focused on the client's needs.

    • Reimbursement was offered but not needed in my case.

    • The staff coming along to network with us were friendly, approachable and willing to answer any questions we had.

    • I wouldn't count pro bono as 'outside of work', but we did talk about (for example) sports teams within the firm and social events now and again.
