  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was highly enjoyable - a great insight into the workings of the firm and a great opportunity to see whether the firm is right for you as well as vice versa. Everybody was welcoming and friendly and approoachable if any questions needed to be asked on issues that perhaps were not clear.

  • Everybody was welcoming and friendly and approoachable if any questions needed to be asked on issues that perhaps were not clear.

  • Support , guidance and appraisals were given regularly on performance.

  • Always occupied with work - never sat twiddling thumbs.

  • Given as much responsibility as you can demontrate that you can handle. Obviously this is dependent on how busy the department is.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • great way to see the commercial application of law in a business context. Illustrative as to the way legal services are delivered with the clients need at the forefront of the firm's aims.

  • very friendly atmosphere - genuine team ethic and cammeraderie within the office.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very weel organised from induction to closing. Structured so as to ensure you gain the fullest insight possible into life as a solicitor.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm invest in terms of pay but there is a great deal of time invested by the firm - practice presentaions were given daily by partners taking time out of busy schedule to discuss matters in respect of their respective areas. Social events were frequent and well funded

  • Would definitely consider working for the firm following the placement.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • great social scene between placement students as well as between the firms trainess and the placement students. Frequent nights out - taken out for food and drinks regularly. Highly enjoyable.

  • Very good.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Very good - nighlife in manchester is vibrant. Always something going on.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Social nights out were always on. Sporting events were also available - ie/ cricket etc.
