    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I found the work both challenging and interesting, I made some really good friends and was given some helpful career advice. The only downside was the continual assessments and interviews.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The practice area I was in were more than welcoming, I never felt out of place or like I was getting in the way. Everyone was willing to talk to me and anwser my questions.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My trainee supervisor spent a great deal of time explaining everything and answering my questions. Everyone else was more than willing to help.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The amount of work I recieved was balanced well. Obviously my lack of training had to be taken into account. Overall, I was kept busy.

  • I was given as much responsibility as I practically could have been. Obviously the level was fairly low.

  • Invaluable work experience that will most defintely help in any career path I take.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It seemed to be quite a quiet time, but there was still a good atmosphere; everyone was friendly and had a good sense of humour.

  • I would love to work here.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not as many people joined in as I thought would, but it was still enjoyable.

  • I am studying in Birmingham at the moment anyway, so it was no different.

  • Maybe a few more would have been beneficial.
