The Role
Fantastic year, really opened my eyes to the working world.
Colleagues were always supportive and treated you as an equal.
Always someone around to give you a hand and guide you.
Always something to do but some of it did get a bit monotonous making it seem like there were less to do.
Lots of responsibility I even wrote a saftey document on a new tail rotor system.
Skills that will help me no end in finding a job after uni.
The Company
I moved to a few different offices some were better than others but never extremely dull.
Moved through 4 different departments and every time needed a new computer other wise fairly good.
We attended optional after work lectures but otherwise only trained by placement supervisors.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
The company hasn't told anyone they definitely have a job but has encouraged all of us to apply and said that this year will extremely help our applications.
The Culture
Fellow students were all encouraged to get to know each other and there is the AgustaWestland Apprentice and Student Association, which was brilliant for meeting and socialising with people our own age. Otherwise Yeovil is very quiet and there's not much to do.
Accomodatoion was a good price compared to student places in Bristol and there is a big Tesco and a weatherspoons pub.
Not really worth the effort unless you can get a good group going out. Otherwise get up to Bristol or even Taunton.
Pleanty of stuff to get involved with the AgustaWestland Apprentice and Student Association.
