    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I feel excited every morning to walk into the company, and I have enjoyed every minute working there, the skills I have learnt, the people I have been working with, the support I have been given, all of these has made the internship a fantastic experience for me!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues are extremely nice and friendly. From the work persepective, they are more senior and professional who gives me useful ideas and suggestions, yet all of them are down to earth and approachable, asking them questions does not make me feel stupid at all! I feel very lucky to work in such an open company.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager is the best manager ever! He is very smart and has exceptional expertise in the markets, but he is also very patient explaining basic knowledge of the industry and has been supporting me with my project constantly. It was so fun working with him and I have developed so much because of his help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My working hours are from 9am-5pm, but since the work was very interesting, I usually work longer hours. More importantly, it was not like sitting there and wasting your time during the day, but I spent every minute doing the actual work. It is an internship in which I have tasks anytime and can never get bored.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was responsible on a project on my own, so I did feel a lot responsibility. Especially when I gave presentations, my colleagues and even more senior managers showed interest into it and I feel extremely proud of being useful.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Working is different from university, there is not always a correct answer. But I have to go on a trial and error way and find solutions independently rather than asking tutors. It was also a great way to apply what I have learnt from university and have a better understanding of real life problems, which might be much trickier than textbook questions.
