The Role
Brilliant placement, so much to do and see and learn throughout
All colleagues were hugely welcoming to undergrads and after the initial week, you felt very much part of the team
Management were always kind and helpful, although some were often very busy with many things so you would be left to cope alone.
Generally had plenty of work, but there were always weeks where it went a bit dry and you felt like you should be doing something.
In some cases, I became a project expert which was very exciting, however normally I was supervised but left mainly to my own devices.
I wasn't initially going to do a placement year, but was hugely thankful I did and it will help me massively in terms of work ethic and technical skills in the future
The Company
Spent time in many offices, but generally was brilliant fun with good laughs had as well as more quiet work intensive periods.
Worked well most of the time, although choosing placements did cause problems at times
No specific courses for undergraduates.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
The Culture
Good links with the rest of the undergrads, grad and apprentices.
Fairly cheap, but not students so things were a tad more expensive.
Wetherspoons followed by Chicago Rock Cafe was the standard night.
Not much going on elsewhere in the area.
