The Role
When had work to do it was interesting but there were numerous times when I had nothing to do.
All who I worked with were welcoming and encouraging.
Guidance was given and I felt I could always ask for help if I needed it. However this was not from my line manager but from the 'buddy' I had been assigned.
On numerous occasions I would have nothing to do and would have to wait until work could be found for me.
I was never solely responsible for a complete piece of work but I had to contribute sections which I had to complete without supervision before they were reviewed.
Time management, prioritisation of task which need completing and communicatiing with different levels of seniority in the company I worked for an thier customers will all be useful in my final degree year and in the work place in the future
The Company
Friendly but with a focus on work.
I had to wait a week before I had access to a laptop and thus any work. Also when I finished one task I often had to wait before something else was found for me to do - there seemed to be a lack of planning even though my manager had known for a long time that I would be joining the team.
I received training when it was required and did not have to wait for this. I was able to attend extra seminars which were very useful, although these had to come out of my own time.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
I will apply for the graduate scheme and they seemed keen for me to apply, however I was not offered monetary incentives to return as I know others have been.
The Culture
Yes, we went out together a few times for lunch.
I don't know, I didn't live in the area - I commuted each day.
I don't know, I didn't live in the area - I commuted each day.
There seemed to be but I did not get involved in any whilst I was there.
