The Role
I found the work really interesting and challenging - I'd happily work there in the future
Everybody I worked with was incredibly friendly and helpful
My supervisor was supporting, and helped a lot integrating me into the team.
Workload was pretty well balanced. However like any business, some times were busier / less busy than others.
I feel like I was given quite a lot of responsibility.
The kind of skills/knowledge I learned at this placement is hard to learn anywhere else!
The Company
Everybody at work was very friendly, helpful and supportive
Besides heaps of paperwork, the placement was very well organised
The company were definitely interested in teaching interns new skills - some of the projects were more or less entirely new ideas, and time was set aside for learning the required skills
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Above 25 days holiday
They have an established and successful returning internship / graduate job scheme which is very appealing!
The Culture
The placement students in the team I was working in got along really well - there weren't many opportunities to get to know other placement students, but I felt it wasn't really necessary.
The area is really expensive, however what interns are paid covers living expenses.
Depending on where you chose to live, towards London or away from London, the nightlife could be good, or it could be pretty uneventful.
There were a few opportunities coming from staff in the team, but most of the work stayed on site.
