    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was the most rewarding internship I've ever done.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is really supportive, welcoming and are interested in you progressing as a person whilst you're there.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Every task was fully explained and I was asked throughout if there was anything I wanted to do/know that hadn't yet been covered. Everyone was always willing to help me understand a task better and feedback was always given which helped both parties go forward during the internship.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days I was focusing on just one task, then on other days, work from several different people would come through. However it was always communicated which to prioritize and what deadlines I was working to. If work was a bit slow, I would always have some work set aside to be carrying on with in the meantime.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given an appropriate amount of responsibility for an intern. Sometimes I would support team activities by being there to offer hands on help. I was responsible for emailing the client for certain tasks however, all my work was always checked before contact was made to make sure it was correct.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Training was given in several industry databases. There was also optional training sessions, for various other skills which I was always encouraged to attend. All of these help to put your knowledge into the context of the industry which will be beneficial to my future. Also being given work that pushed me, and developed me allowed me to learn as much as I could whilst I was there.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was always in good spirits with each other and there was a very good dynamic between all of the team.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The company make sure you have training sessions as soon as possible and upon arrival all my IT was set up.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company will try and make your time there the most rewarding it can be, however you get what you put it. Gradually I was given a greater variety of work which also became more engaging. The more committed and focused you are the more you will learn and be trusted with new tasks. I was part of the team, not just the intern which meant I learnt a lot.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Before I left future prospects were discussed and I hope to apply as a graduate and return next year.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The company usually take summer interns from my Uni so I was with other students I knew, however we all made the effort to get to know all the other interns/work experience and apprentices. Lunch time was usually when we would all get together.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I wasn't living in London, but drinks are at a London rate. However work events and the subsidised office bar (for after work!) made it cheaper.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Because I commuted from home I would only ever go for after work drinks either with my team or the other interns. There was a good selection of places to go as you're very central.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There probably were, however due to my commute it wouldn't have been possible.

    3/5
