The Role
My colleagues valued my contributions and gave constructive feedback throughout the internship.
My line manager was incredibly understanding and supportive and was consistently encouraging me to develop my skills and at the same time not overdo things and keep a healthy, balanced life.
I was given enough work to be challenged and to learn how to manage workloads and prioritise.
I developed soft skills that I wouldn't have a chance to develop on my degree course - this has given me great experience for my future career.
The Company
It was easy to get on well with my colleagues and the atmosphere was friendly yet hardworking.
There were issues with workplace adjustments that i was very unhappy with. My team itself were fantastic and my line manager ensured the smooth-running of my internship, but the lack of workplace adjustments for the first half of my internship was unacceptable.
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
The work the organisation do is interesting and exciting, relevant to the financial industry. Still haven't identified where in the organisation I would like to work but very interested in working there in the future. The graduate programme gives good opportunities to rotate and identify where to develop your career.
The Culture
London is very expensive in general, however there was a Wetherspoons nearby and a few bars with happy hours.
buzzing after work, but not much to do later on
there were social events and a community affairs day organised for the internship.
