    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my internship with Tourdust. This has definitely been my favourite place to work at out of anywhere that I have worked. I always looked forward coming into work knowing that I was going to have fun, and do something exciting, whilst getting the most out of my job

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt highly valued by my colleagues, they are such lovely people. We always had a laugh and had plenty of banter, which made our working environment stress free, laid-back, enjoyable, and fun to be in. I felt a real part of the team, and felt really welcomed right from the start, as well as being highly thought of. I definitely want to keep in contact as I have made some lovely friends whilst being there.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was always given support and help if I required it. There were no worries in terms of approaching my employers if there was something that I had to ask, as they were always ready to listen and willing to give help and advice.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was always something to do, but not in the way that work duties would get on top of you. Everything had a nice time-scale to work to, and I never once felt stressed or felt that I wasn't doing anything whilst I was at work. As I had a specific marketing project to work on during my internship there was always something to keep me busy and utilise my time.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was put in charge of organising the trade show. This included looking for businesses/freelancers who we could use to make our posters and banners, asking for quotes, etc. Other responsibilities included coming up with promotional ideas for the show, ordering products (t-shirts). Managing the budget for the show. Researching. As this was such an important promotional event for Tourdust I felt that I was given a high amount of responsibility, which meant a lot to me to be put in charge of such an important project.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • These are life skills that you cannot learn from just doing a degree, this has given me an insight how to search effectively for a piece of information, how to time manage myself and understand the working world. These will really be beneficial in terms of having these transferable skills to use within my degree, and later on in my working life

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • We always had such a good time at work. We were always laughing, and listening to music, talking about what we were up to, things that had happened to us. It was a really chilled out and relaxed atmosphere where you could just be yourself, and have a great time

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was organised to a high standard, ensuring that both the company and myself benefited.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Tourdust invested everything, they were always there to help me improve on my areas of weakness, and advise me on how to do that. If there was something I wasn't unsure about either in working or education, they would give me tips and help to point me in the right direction.
