  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed the summer school programme. The experience was well worth doing and surpassed all expectations.

    • I felt valued and included during the placements, I was invited to various social events.

    • I recieved a lot of support during the placement. I also felt that if I need more support that it would be readily available.

    • The skills I developed will definately help me in the future, although the programme was only two weeks I still fely that various skills were developed

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The course was well structured as I spent time with different departments even though I had applied to Audit. This helped me gain further understanding of what work BDO does and how my career could develop.

    • The overall atmosphere during the placement was very enjoyable.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • The company invested a lot of time for the placement, they also paid daily travel expenses as well as train tickets to Birmingham and London

    • The placement gave a huge insight into BDO and made me realise I would enjoy working at BDO

    • The placement allowed me to see that the companies culture is very positive and staff are valued members of the firm.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • During the two weeks I wen to a, Introduction Day to meet everyone, a quiz night in Leeds and the firms football tournament in Nottinhgam.
