Overview
I assisted the audit team during the planning and execution of an audited entity by obtaining audit evidence. I prepared analysis of accounting data from client’s books and records. I also developed strong relationships with the client.
Skills
I have developed many skills whilst on placement at BDO, particularly my communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
I was given much responsibility during my placement - for example I was responsible for several sections of the audit such as cash.
Support & Guidance
I received support from many different people such as people manager and buddy. I also received help from seniors and assistant managers whilst on an audit team.
Culture
The company has a very welcoming and inclusive culture. Everyone within the team is very friendly and helpful.
Your Impressions
I throughly enjoyed my placement at BDO due to the skills that I have developed and the experiences I have gained. I believe it was a very valuable experience and would recommend to undergrads who are currently looking for experience within the audit sector.
