The Role
Highly enjoyable; looked forward to going into work everyday into a happy environment.
They never made me feel invaluable or less than what I was. The warm welcome I received when I first began the year was better than I could have imagined and they all continued to be a great support on a professionally and personal level.
Always given direction ad support to make the most out of the year to benefit myself and them as a team.
As someone who enjoys being busy there was no shortages of jobs or responsibilities to be carried out; inevitably some hays were busier than others but I always felt like I could manage my own time and spread my jobs out. There were few occasions when I would have to arrive earlier/stay late.
A huge factor of the year was the fact I was given so much responsibility and nevertheless thrived from this and the feeling of being vaulted and trusted within the team.
It has put my degree studies truly into practice and I feel a huge sense of understanding about the food manufacturing industry. My personal skills have improved including my literacy, numeracy and communication skills. I now feel much more confident to apply for jobs and go into new businesses as a professional.
The Company
Very friendly and unintimidating. Sometimes very quiet.
Incredibly well organised and throughout - much more accommodating than I could have wished for. I had set objectives to work through the year with appraisals to keep me up to date with my progress.
They had this always in mind and seemed to not only train me for their purposes but also to improve my development. I took a lot of training when I initially began the year, I would not however of expected more from them in this area as it was down to me personally to develop my training throughout the process.
