  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The vacation scheme is as much aimed at helping you get to know the firm as the firm getting a good assessment of you.

    • I was impressed with the effort taken by everyone, from trainee to partner, to make me feel welcome

    • You get real work and are treated like a trainee for these purposes

    • We were given a balance of presentations about the firm, skills sessions and real work

    • I was in a busy department but this also meant team drinks were appreciated!

    • Group skills sessions were given and partners took time out of their day to meet with me

    • Two weeks is never going to be enough to know a firm fully but it is a good start...

    • Sitting in one team for the duration is good on some levels but it is enitrely possible that other teams have a different culture

    • To the extent that I have already decided I want to be a commercial solicitor, this confirmed it
