    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Was let down by not being what it was meant to be, which was mostly the schools fault and not Teach First but it should have been chases up earlier and rectified before we were on the placement

    • We were all respected and treat well

    • Feedback and tips regarding interviews and the job were given and offered whenever we needed it

    • If I were to go into the field of teaching I have learnt some valuable techniques Presentation skills will help in my degree

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Again, let down by school. First few days ran by the teach first team on behaviour, teaching techniques and planning were really good

    • Everyone was very nice and the opportunity to make new friends with the others was strong

    • I decided not to take my application any further, so not applicable

    • Gave a good insight into the schools you would be placed in and challenges you would see

    • This was explained to us and we did activities around it's ethos, like debates

    • I decided it was not the career path for me, others decided it was.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Yes, a variety of staff came to see us throughout

    • Social events with the other Insight participants, but not with TF staff. Becuase alot of us where in accomodation, we would go for meals together

    • Wasn't really mentioned

    • Probably, because I think our experience was an annomoly due to the school, which won't be used again
