    • It confirmed I wanted to be a teacher- very insightful!

    • Very friendly and I felt like my input was always listened to and taken on board.

    • Teach First did not let us lose in the classrooms without fully preparing us.

    • I want to teach no better way then interacting with kids in schools.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • It was the first time the insight had been set up in Manchester. with feedback it will improve.

    • Met some great people.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • They spent a lot of time with us preparing us for the classroom and training for the assessment centre.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • It was hard work and made me realise that teaching is not easy. We had some tasks that even teachers dread so it was good to see the bad and the good and weigh them up.

    • It stressed the values of Teach First even more so.

    • It ensured I knew the challenges I would be facing when doing the Teach First programme and this made me want to do this as a future career.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I wouldn't have been able to do this insight without being reimbursed so it was very helpful.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • It was good to talk to people who had been through the programme.

    • Great- lots of food, drinks and socialising.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Teach First offers some of the best opportunities for graduates when they leave university. I can't wait to take them on!

    • Already have recommended it to anybody who is not sure what they want to do or who wants to be a teacher. An opportunity not to be missed.
