  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Great time in schools and learning about what teaching entails.

    • Felt valued as a member of the team.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • There was very good guidance for how we were to teach. However not great guidance on what we would actually be doing in schools and what that would look like.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • As I want to go into teaching post uni, Insight was a great way to gain skills that will be really useful in that career.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • It was well structured, however some times when it wasn't clear where we should be/ what we were doing.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • There was a great atmosphere, especially between the insighters. Also the TF ambassadors were really helpful.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Gave us lots of training in how to teach, and how to approach teaching as a career.

    • There was a huge emphasis on what the work of TF was, how to apply, and what being a TF teacher would look like.

    • We had sessions on why TF was set up, and what their vision is.

    • Insight really helped clarify that I love teaching and that it's what I want to do in the future.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Very generously.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • All the sessions were taken by previous teach first-ers (ambassadors) and so we could ask lots about their experiences.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • There weren't any specific 'events' but every ambassador leading sessions was more than happy to answer questions etc.

    • TF runs placements in business during school holidays.
