    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The insight was such an amazing experience and the whole week was extremely well structures so that we all got the most out of it that we could have done.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • Everyone was really friendly and willing to answer any question you might have. Everyone seemed to get on really well and the overall atmosphere was extremely welcoming.

    • Everyone who I came into contact with was extremely willing to help and answer questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The skills that I have learnt will, I think, help me for a long time to come. The focus that was given on commercial awareness will definitely stick with me, and the interview and group workshop techniques will definitely come in useful next year!

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • It was structured so that every day was extremely varied and even where things had to be rearranged it was so seamless that if we hadn't had the outline for the week, we would never have known!

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • The atmosphere was brilliant. This was helped by the friendliness of the people we came into contact with, but was probably largely to do with the fact that we were all so in awe of the firm!

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • They did as much as they could have done in such a short space of time, however, their enthusiasm in encouraging us to apply for the summer vacation schemes and training contracts showed a huge willingness to invest in us in the future.

    • Talking to people who worked at all levels in the firm provided a hugely valuable insight.

    • Everyone seemed to act like they would all the time, and everyone seemed to get on really well. I was rather pleasantly surprised.

    • I am now absolutely sure that I want to work for a global law firm!

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Which was more than I expected, given the quality of the week I would have willingly done it without payment and without reimbursement for travel expenses!

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • We were always in contact with people. A highlight of the week was a 'Partners Dinner' that was given where we really had the opportunity to get to know the partners.

    • They were plentiful and also extremely enjoyable.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • There were so many opportunities available it was staggering, many employees said that they made frequent use of the gym at lunch which really impressed me!

    • It was one of the most useful weeks I can imagine.
