The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the company of colleagues and learned a great deal whilst working.
Colleagues were all extremely friendly. With work they were always happy to help, and spontaneously checked up on me to make sure I was getting along ok. Being invited to play computer games with them also made me feel valued as a fellow colleague.
Much of the work required me to work on my own and simply persevere, however whenever I wasn't sure I was always welcome to ask. I had regular check ups by both my supervisor and colleagues to see my progress.
Always had work to do, whenever I finished a task I was given an extension to work further. However I was given ample time to work on my tasks.
I was working on my own project and hence was in control of my work.
The general programming skills and techniques that I learned will definitely be useful in the future. Some of the work was very specialist and only useful if I go on to do graphic work in the future, however the concepts are definitely valuable for any future job.
The Company
Extremely comfortable office, timely short breaks to talk, and lively lunch times involving computer games. Very enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.
Very streamlined application process. Induction and joining my team was also very easy.
Company had future placements when giving work. My project was the type used to introduce new employees to get equipped with the company's products, and this gave the impression that they were planning for me to have more complex projects in the future and hence learn all the time.

A quiet rural area so not a lot of nightlife.
Numerous activities organised by the Sport and Social club, and extremely easy to join. Regular weekly sports and numerous weekly social events.
