The Role
Very enjoyable placement because of the chance to work on future electronics products.
Very friendly workforce, always intrested in enagaging with fellow colleagues.
Excellent support, all employees were happy to help.
The workload was good and kept me busy.
The work I was given was important and had to be completed.
A range of skills were improved, from software trainning and programming to social/communication skills.
The Company
Very relaxed environment where you felt confortable to talk and work.
Well organised overall. The structure of work was planned out and presented well. Software trainning was a little bit late however, placement students join at different times so this can be waived.
I was presented with all trainning and skills required to become a strong member of the team. However, studying out of work hours was required at the start (programming language).
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Well rounded job and therefore, returning to do another placement.
The Culture
Very sociable students and, meet ups were arranged by the company to help build relationships.
I communted in by London Underground and National Rail so it became quite expensive. Socialising costs in the work area was average.
A small, quiet town so there wasn't a great deal of nightlife activities. On the other hand, Central London was a 30 minute train ride away.
Many sports and social events (go-karting, movies etc.) were provided to employees to enjoy outside of work.
