  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Brilliant company to work for, the Finance department is a really interesting and dynamic place to work.

  • Really welcoming team, and involved in socialble activities. Relaxing and comfortable working environment.

  • Full support for day one! Great training and full development plans which really assisted learning on the job.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some times of year are a lot busier than others but always had something to do and never felt under too much pressure. A good balance.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Responsibility for reporting and liasing with other teams for projects I was involved in. Work that I was assigned made a real impact on the department and the business.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Excellent skills in finance systems and Excel. Real development of people skills and maintaining a high workload. Perfect for the busy nature of final year and working on a dissertation.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Atmosphere in the whole building was fun and exciting. The team was a fun environment with plenty of light hearted moments alongside hard work.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Well orginised with regards to induction and training. Due to the nature of the work it was often a big change in reponsibilities from one week to the next which I greatly enjoyed.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Multiple training courses available to colleagues. Greatest investment was in the time taken to facilitate fantastic on the job training and learning from senior members of the team.

  • Company offers a graduate scheme to which a lot of placement students are accepted on to after their final year.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Most socialising happened during the summer when 10 week placement student were also in the business. Socialising was good across the department and not just restricted to placement students or graduates

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Reasonable rents outside the city centre of Leeds. Definitely cheaper than London. Cost of living is also reasonable.

  • Leeds has an amazing nightlife and social scene. Plenty to choose from for all tastes.

  • Some opportunities to get involved with social events and department away days.
