The Role
It was a struggle at times because I realised the industry wasn't suited to me but everyone made an effort to ensure my time there was as good as possible.
With my first group I felt very much on the outside but with my second rotation they were extremely kind and accommodating.
Very much left to fend for ourselves something which personally I found tough but what I think they expect from an intern.
Relating to the above you could choose to do nothing all day or could occupy yourself and be extremely busy all day.
we were given a lot of responsibility and got to sit on important video conferences and staff meetings.
Even though I didn't love the work it was definitely a fantastic experience and something I can put on my CV!
The Company
Very studious atmosphere meant that everyone seemed quite serious.
Set up really well there was evidently a lot of investment in the interns with 2 staff members literally doing everything with us for the entire 2 months.
Following on from above we had regular socials and networking events at bars around london which were great.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
For me personally not promising but if I had enjoyed the work definitely, seems like a great company to work for.
The Culture
Aside from the company socials and events there was not alot of socialising amongst the interns. Everyone was very serious about making a good impression and ultimately getting the job!
The office is in the city of london so it was incredibly expensive but we were paid for our time there so it was manageable.
Being central london the nightlife was very good but relatively expensive and the crowd seemed older and more mature than other places.
There were socials, charity events and a couple of sports events so really plenty to get stuck into!
