The Role
Really enjoyable place to work, everyone is really friendly and helpful and the fast-paced nature of the role keeps it interesting.
A very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, with people always happy to lend a hand. A real 'team' atmosphere and your team become your friends too!
Help was always available when needed and one-to-ones and personal development plans were put into place to focus on development.
Depending on the time of the year, sometimes very busy and sometimes a little more relaxed. There was always something to be getting on with though
I was in charge of some important tasks such as ensuring promotions went live. Slipping up in these types of task could cause a lot of bad implications for the business therefore the responsibility was high.
Definitely some great skills developed and plenty to talk about in future interviews!
The Company
Lively most of the time, always busy and lots of people around.
I was the first year so it was their first real run through, it was ok but some things weren't as organised as they could have been, I imagine this is not so much the case now that they have tried the process out for a couple of years.
There is the option to go on courses to develop skills relevant to the job, sometimes hard to fit in to a busy work schedule though.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
They were unable to sign a 100% contract for returning, however I was advised after having a year's experience there shouldn't be a problem with being re-employed should an opportunity be there.
The Culture
Every payday Friday lots of people go out from the office and have a good time. Also made a group of friends who went out on a regular basis.
Milton Keynes, fairly expensive but nowhere near as bad as London would be.
A few good bars and a club, the office is easy to get yourself into a social group to go out with at the weekend
Not a huge amount, sometimes you can get involved with a sponsored activity or helping in the local community
