The Role
Friendly environment, big desk, lots of opportunity to learn and grow.
Bi-weekly reviews from manager, working closely with an experiecne software developer, regular meetings with other people in the organisation to talk about my work.
I could always ask question from my colleage, a senior software engineer, about my work.
Nice work/life balance. Was a contractor, so taking days of or leaving early was up to me.
The development of the project was my full responsibility.
Learned valuable project management skills and development techniques.
The Company
Not much commotion (some like it that way) but you could always have a coffee break with someone to chat.
The project was a bit ambuiguos and requirements sketchy. But we worked together as a team to identify the main requirements of the product.
No official training given. But plenty of time to learn for myself.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I believe it is easy to return to Alstom, if positions are available.
The Culture
Not much socialising besides work and company events.
Pretty cheap everywhere.
Never went out in Rugby.
Not that I am aware of.
