    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Fantastic placement experience where new skills have been developed. Friendly environment to work in and support always available when required. Felt valued as a team member and my contribution counted towards the team processes.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Friendly team environment where colleagues would always support me when required. Effective feedback was received which helped with my development, and i had the opportunity to make decisions that would normally be implemented by senior colleagues.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support and guidance was effective which helped me develop my skills although this could have been structured better. For example, consistent and structured 1-2-1 meetings would have helped with a more efficient process.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On average i would be busy every day however if 1-2-1 meetings were rescheduled i may go for periods creating my own work, which could be perceived as good leadership as i would often take on work without the full guidance of my line manager.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was involved in many projects where effective planning and organising was essential as i would have the opportunity to make important decisions. I had full responsibility of several projects which included my main careers fairs project where there was high expectation of complete accuracy and planning. Several recommendations that i have made will be used in the revision of the teams processes for their next campaign so therefore i would rate my responsibility levels highly.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have developed new skills in the areas of responsibility and leadership as well as enhancing skills such as planning and organising, communication, team work and problem solving. My confidence has grown to help become more assertive and tackle challenges effectively as well as delivering high performances. I have developed communication skills well but i believe i still room for improvement in this area. I believe that all other major key skills have been developed to a standard where i feel confident to gain a high level degree and to succeed in any job role which i may apply for after graduation.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A very quite atmosphere where the majority would focus on the work in hand. Sometimes would be nice to have a higher social aspect within the office but the quite atmosphere was good for concentrating on the days tasks.

    2/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Good induction upon arrival of the company and clear aims and objectives set. Placement was set up to assist with the recruitment and attraction campaign and i feel that i achieved this successfully.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
