  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • The placement was enjoyable despite the work not being ideal

    • I felt valued by certain people such as the other students who were on gap years

    • Lots of support - a very organised system for undergraduate students

    • On a daily basis, I wasn't given a huge amount of work to do. There were times where I had to go out searching for work to do.

    • Given my prior experience, it would have been wrong to have allowed me to make important decisions

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I developed general skills such as teamwork skills and communication skills but not skills that will be directly relevant to what I purse in the future

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The atmosphere was great - everyone was friendly and approachable. It was a shame that there simply wasn't work for me to do.

    • Very well - plenty of information prior to the placement and during the placement

    • Whilst I feel as though there was scope for the possibility of more training, I was given the chance to attend many networking events and also travel abroad!

    • Many opportunities in several different departments

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There were a lot of young students which was a positive to the placement.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Really nice area in the countryside - not great if you are addicted to city life though!

    • There was one nightclub which wasn't great!

    • There were a few sports and other things such as giveback - this was definitely a positive side to this placement
