  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • The company has a very positive atmosphere.

    • All my colleagues were very welcoming and I was treated as part of the team.

    • My group leader took an active interest in my work and was always available for support.

    • When I first started, my collegues weren't sure of my capabilities and didn't give me a lot to do, however once they knew me better the work became more challenging and engaging.

    • I felt that I was given a fair deal of responsibility, as I was given access to laboratories and was left to work unsupervised.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The skills I have learnt will be useful to me in the future, especially as I am planning a career in a laboratory environment.

    • My team were very busy, but the atmosphere with the other students was very lively.

    • It was excellent, there was always something to do or someone to see.

    • Depends on whether you were socialising locally or going up to London.

    • 30 minute bus ride from Kingston, where there are clubs and bars galore.

    • You could play a variety of sports.
