The Role
I really enjoyed it. It's exactly the type of job I would like to have after I have graduated. I expect I'll be applying for a permanent job here next year!
Everyone is very friendly and helpful and I felt I could be at ease about asking for help or what to do.
Very helpful
Maybe had a little too much free time on my hands! But I made sure I kept myself busy
I was given responsibility and trusted to use lab equipment and work on my own with the results I collected.
I've learnt that I can be trusted to work on my own and be productive and motivated
The Company
The guys in my office were really nice and could talk to them when we had breaks, very friendly.
NPL were awesome, the scheme I applied through though (SEPnet) could have been a little more organised however.
Didn't need any training or anything, was just told what to do and I did it. They were good in answering any queries.
It is extremely likely that I will apply for a permenant job with NPL.
The Culture
Yes, the students organised social gatherings among ourselves.
Expensive accommodation and socialising is expensive. But it was worth it.
Don't really know. I don't think there was much nightlife within immediate proximaty of NPL.
There were, but I never did anything as I was only in Teddington during the week.
