  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Fast paced but all employees are down to earth, upbeat and friendly

    • Became really good friends with managers and felt like a valued member of the team

    • Very busy days and long hours!

    • Became completely responsible for my own duties but could have benefited from having some more responsibility

    • My people skills have improved hugely, both in working in a team environment and also customer service. My organisational skills have also been honed, as well as my ability to work hard and achieve results.

    • Always laughing, never a dull moment

    • Could have had a bit more structure/formal training but oveall was set up very well

    • Intense initial training week and clear goals set out to be achieved, felt like the company did really want me to benefit and come back after University.

    • Have been offered a graduate position, will definitely consider taking them up - good promotion opportunities and clear structure for advancement within the company

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Had social events with collegues in my branch and also an intern networking event, but I was the the only placement student in my branch.

    • As I worked in a local branch, I worked at home, so living costs were very low...

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Not many put on by enterprise that I was involved in, but I was aware of charity events like race for life, as well as the opportunity to go to Brighton for gay pride!
