    The Role

  • I really enjoyed working at NI, I have taken away lots of new skills that will help me in my final year at University.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From my very first day I was made to feel as part of the team, and treated as an equal. I always felt I could ask for help if I was unsure about anything.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given support my management often, however, they weren't always around... but in that case my colleagues would be more than happy to help and guide me.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had a fairly stable work load, sometimes I did find myself with not enough to do, and during busy times everyone would be overloaded. But on average I had a good workload.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was treated as an equal on my placement, and as I grew and learnt I was given more responsibility.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will take away a number of skills that will help me both back at University and in my career. I have built upon the theories taught in my lectures and learnt some new ones to take back with me.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • My placement was fairly well organised. I did miss out on getting a review till my year was nearly up due to the manger workloads.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was given good amount of training and responsibility when I first started, however after about 6 months or so I felt I could have had some more in depth training to widen my knowledge on the tools we used.
