  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • NI is a great company to work for and I couldn't of asked for a better placement.

  • NI is a great team/family and everybody gets on well.

  • Lots of internal training, team leader provides close support and guidance and you can always ask anybody for support or guidance.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Most of the time the level of work is just right but sometimes can be too busy. The projects take up a lot of personal time.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots of responsibility. travelled around the country and worked alongside graduate engineers doing the same role

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My personal development has drastically improved and a good LabVIEW programmer.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There is lots of banter but the work still gets done. Nobody is ever looking over your shoulder which is great.

  • Very well structured and clear cut plan for the year. No time wasted and lots learnt.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They have given my so many opportunities and I have learned a vast amount about the hardware and software that NI provide.

  • I would like to think they would take me back but I'm not sure yet.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Made some good friends and there was never a dull moment because so many new people started each year and they are all in the same boat.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Salary is 16K which is JUST enough to live a comfortable life and social life.

  • Newbury is small but you can still have fun.

  • always something going on.
