  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • A really enjoyable 6 weeks, worked on a variety of different clients within my sector, gaining a firm grasp of how different companies operate.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • Felt in general I contributed towards the audit work. My teams gave me a range of different parts of the audit file to complete so I was not always stuck doing the same thing

    • Lots of support and guidance from both managers and general staff.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I had the perfect amount of workload, was never bored and there was always work to do once I had completed what i was doing.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • Was given a lot of responsibility to complete parts of the audit process. Felt i was a valued part of the team.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I now have a better understanding of the business world. The skills I have learnt will assist me in future modules in my degree such as audit and accountability and advanced financial accounting.

    • Friendly and helpful staff who made me feel at home.

    • Very well organised, with a clear structure.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • We were given computer and a week of training so could really made a difference when working out at clients.

    • Very appealing as you get the opportunity to do a secondment in other countries as well as training for your ACA qualification

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • My fellow interns were all great fun and hopefully I will see them again next september...

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Quite expensive as were london prices

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • Good nightlife. Lots of bars and clubs in the centre.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Took part in football tournament in Southampton and helped in a couple of commercial responsibility days where we made a nature garden for a school
