The Role
It was a good internship - understood lots more about the local area and how its run (funding wise)
Was a family internship so it was family :)
Any questions i asked were promptly responded to
always out and about in the community
was more of a shaddowing experiance so not much responsibility given, however i did often have some responsibility back in the office with regards to processing.
Was a community internship so not relevent at all to my degree
The Company
not in the office out in the community working with other individuals from gardeners to office staff and even liasing with police
something different daily was very well thought through
no investment as it was just shaddowing with minimal responsibility + to help build an understanding of the community and the workings behind maintaining it
Sports and Social Club
i would consider working for the council / local parish council as a volunteer and even potentialyl go work as a paid job in the council (but more towards my degree)
The Culture
no social scene outside of work within going round we saw lots of people so the banter existed and was lively.
living at home so no real expenditure (however the area is cheap for external people coming to the area)
close links to birmingham wolverhampton chester and manchester (all an hour away!)
no opportunities that i was aware off
