    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Brilliantly organised and structured placement. Thoroughly enjoyable.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Each and every colleague trusted me with the work I was given. Extremely friendly and warm atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Tasks were explained very well by supervising trainee. If anything was unclear, he willingly and fully explained the issue.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Given just the right amount of work - not too much to allow me to socialise and talk to other people in the department yet not too little to the extent where I would twiddle my thumbs.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Naturally I wasn't running the show because I am very junior in the firm but from all the work I was given, I was solely responsible for its accuracy and content.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I gained two sets of skills: one specific to commercial law and the other a set of transferable skills which will prove valuable in every day life, regardless of career or profession.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The perfect balance. The team was very driven and motivated and enthusiastic about the work yet at the same time everyone took the time out to crack a joke here and there and relax the tense atmosphere durnig periods of high work loads.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Graduate Recruitment organised the scheme perfectly. Every intern was kept aware of his or her duties throughout the day and the timetable for the week proved to be extremely useful indeed.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • In terms of legal work, certainly a lot of time and money was spent in investing in my training. Naturally of course, a lessor amount was spent on social events due to the current economic climate.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Awaiting the decision.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Every student worked together and got on well with one another.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • A little bit more towards the expensive side though this was expected as the placement was in London

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Very enjoyable - though not too much time to experience it all due to high work loads.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • One social event per week was organised by the trainees - very enjoyable.

    3/5
