    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Good fun in general. Didn't feel I had as much say in what I got to do as was implied prior to the placement

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • For the most part I was treated professionally and courteously and my contributions were listened to

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My PDM was very supportive whenever I had a problem or query

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy almost all the time!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Obviously because I was quite junior I wasn't really given any direct responsibility, but this seemed fair enough in the context

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Will definitely help when I begin to apply for jobs

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Quite serious but the other trainees were fun

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • As I say, I didn't get as much say as I would have liked but it was well organised

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Largely 'on the job' training but still a good experience nonetheless

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Not sure - I'd have to go through a further application process first

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not exactly party central but nice intelligent people

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The money I earnt didn't stretch as far as I would have liked in this respect

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Looked good but I was rather busy and/or tired most of the time

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Endless opportunities - perhaps too many?

    5/5
